As we embark on this new year, we are blessed with a new beginning! At this time, many of us are setting forth our intentions, leaping into action to make this the best year yet, however the Angels are asking us to: “slow our roll!” As there is a very important step we can add into our daily routine to help us meet our goals with ease, and that is of stillness! In this space where we take a pause from the daily grind, we find ourselves centering within, grounding, and being able to move forward with more grace on our path. This at first may seem counterproductive, however, when we take this simple step to be still, even if just for a few moments, we begin to welcome in more focus and inspiration to reach our destination. We also begin to enter into this sacred space of our heart that aligns us with the Divine to help guide us along our way, creating more miracles than we could have ever do on our own!

Now for many of us, being still for even a few moments can be incredibly difficult, myself included. There are times when I sit in quiet and I end up going down the rabbit hole of thoughts, or I feel bored and want to check my phone or I basically just want to go DO something. Yet, I will keep holding the space of stillness, observing all that is going on. If I fall into the dungeon of thoughts, I gently lift myself up and out, and back into observation mode. In these moments that I take to be still, I find I get the most inspiration, clarity and truth, whether in that moment or after. Even if just small tidbits drop in, it will be what leads me to create much more than I could have ever have done if I was running around pushing through life to make things happen. Thus creating more space to be open to the sacred knowledge within.

Looking at the best ways to create a stillness practice, I find that there really is no wrong or right way. What I recommend is to simply sit or lie down, and to be centered within your heart space, and observe what occurs. It may be watching a million thoughts fly by, or you may find you count your breathes, in some cases you may even fall asleep and that’s okay too! I consider nap time the best of times!! You may also find you get good insights while doing this too, so it’s handy to keep a notebook close to you. You can do this for 1-2 minutes or even 30, whatever feels best for you. Just give yourself this time to honor and care for yourself, and be sure to rid of any beliefs that you”don’t have time for such things.” We all have a minute or two to spare, even if we take it away from watching TV or scrolling the social media pages!

With this new year upon us, glistening with possibility and potential, we can truly move forward with ease and grace as we create a stillness practice to add to our daily routine. Knowing that we are always guided along our path and connected within to all that we need, desire and want. So if you are ready for some extra clarity this year, start it off with a simple stillness practice! I’m here doing it with you too!! Keep me posted how you do, and if you forget a day, or a week, be kind to yourself, and just gently move back to stillness when you can.

Sending you so much love, and happy New Year Blessings!!
