For this month, I decided to switch up the “Releasing the Emotional Wounds Series” with a more positive spin by looking at the magic of serendipity within our everyday lives. And the wound that this relates to is the need for control since we aren’t trusting the Universe to provide for us, and ironically, I was faced with an experience last week that showed me how powerful the Universe is and how much we are guided. In each moment we are provided signs and serendipitously moved forward step by step to our destination. It’s easy to forget the magic within this world, but I hope by sharing my experience it can help you see even with the smallest things in life that we truly are guided, supported, and loved, and that we can live in a world full of miracles if we allow.

So my experience last week, I was traveling to visit a dear friend across the country, I arrived at the airport in perfect time to sip my coffee and then loaded the flying bus into the skies to make it to the next airport before flying once more to my destination. I knew Mercury was in retrograde, along with five other planets so I prayed and prayed that everything would go smoothly. Then when I arrived at my first stop I quickly went to find the monitor to see which gate my next flight would be at. My eyes quickly seemed to be drawn to this one screen and it read: “DELAYED” my heart dropped, and I was like no that can’t be my gate. I finally found the main monitor for all the flights and found that yes, that actually was my gate. I slowly walked over to that area to text my friend I would be arriving late, when I overheard a gentleman talking on the phone about how his flight was just cancelled, and how frustrating it all was. I panicked and started to worry, yet thought, “no this is just delayed, think happy thoughts, all is well.” Then a few minutes later an email rang through, saying how my plane was delayed even further, then shortly after I received another email that my entire flight had been cancelled. I sat there in shock as I’ve never had this happen and I honestly didn’t even know what to do. I then heard over the intercom about the cancellation and to go to the front desk for options. I quickly jumped up to find a long line of people waiting impatiently and frustrated to see what was available. I stood there also frustrated, as I didn’t want to stay the night there, and was even more upset since I prayed for things to go well and felt really let down. Then out of the blue this older man comes over, and stares at me and the guy behind me and then asks, “why are you all still standing here, there are people at the end of the airport that don’t have anyone there and they can help, why are you still waiting here?” I turned and looked at the guy behind me, and we both booked it to the end of the airport to which there was a small line starting to form, but way better than the one I was in. I finally got to a lady and she looked at me, looked down and then turned around, I was like WTF??! But I waited patiently trying to keep calm. Then I realized that the people behind me were going to the other three workers available, so when the next worker was free I jumped in to be helped. This lady actually acknowledged me with a smile and asked what I needed. I told her what was going on, and as she stared at her screen she told me the next flight available was at 8am the next day. Then her eyes got really big as she told me that a new option just popped up that would get me there at 1am instead. She told me it would still be risky though since it was flying me to another airport that was also having delays. I didn’t really want to stay much longer at this airport so decided to just take the risk, and then was handed my tickets to wait once again praying for this all to work out. As I sat down to try and eat something, I looked up at another monitor and it had 4444 in the corner, I slightly smiled since that was the sign that the angels were with me and guiding me. Still somewhat upset with them, I wasn’t wanting to hold any hope. Then another friend of mine texted to see how I was doing, and as I told her what was going on, she let me know that she had family in the area if needed and was super positive, which helped lift me up. I also overheard a guy behind me telling a few people that he hoped this would be a change of luck for everyone. The plane ended up arriving, and I made it to my destination an hour early! And even though it was six hours later than my original arrival time, I was oh so grateful to have made it there. It was nothing I had ever expected to happen, but I was still nonetheless guided and protected each step of the way.

As I reflected more on this, I also realized how the signs and serendipity aren’t just for when life is good, but how they are there to help us through the harder times too. It lets us know that even when shit is about to hit the fan that we are still on track, and that we will make it to where we need to be. Thus it’s safe to release the control we feel we need to have, and to allow the signs that are there for us to guide us each step of the way! It made me laugh since I was trying to avoid the signs that I felt were bad, and trying to force positivity into them, when really it was the angels letting me know what was about to happen and that I would actually be okay! So even when things seem out of sorts, or off track, know you are right where you need to be.Let go of the control button and notice the signs and step into the serendipity of life to see where this journey is taking you. It’s scary at times to fully trust, but life isn’t out to get us, as the Universe truly has our back in all that we do.

So hold the faith, and release the need for control, whether it’s in trying to be uber positive all the time with certain manifestation principles, or even by trying to force life to turn out a certain way. And as we let go of our need to control and observe the signs around us and step into the serendipitous flow, we begin to see how the Universe can work its magic to create miracles beyond our wildest dreams. It may not be overnight of course, but step by step with awareness we can see the serendipity that is all around us. It truly is a magical world and I hope you begin to see that too.

Much Love,

Sara
